You may be here because...
Something in your body just doesn’t feel quite right. You might be dealing with tension, discomfort, stiffness, stress, tiredness or difficulty winding down — or perhaps you simply feel a little out of balance. You don’t need to have everything going on at once, or even know exactly what you need. You may simply be looking for thoughtful, whole-person bodywork that responds to how you’re feeling today.
A whole-person approach
The body is constantly adapting to movement, daily demands, rest, stress and life experience. Rather than treating one area in isolation, I pay attention to how the body is working together and what may help you feel more comfortable, settled and at ease.
I don’t follow a fixed routine or try to force change. Each session responds to what is present on the day and may include hands-on bodywork, quieter holds, stillness and subtle energetic awareness — supporting greater ease, connection and integration across the whole system.
What to expect in a session
Your first session begins with a conversation about what’s bringing you in, along with relevant health history, previous injuries, surgeries and anything else that may help me understand the bigger picture. Follow-up sessions usually begin with a shorter check-in.
Before treatment, I may also do a brief standing assessment to observe posture, alignment, weight-bearing and movement patterns. From there, the session follows what your body is presenting on the day. Most treatments include oil-based hands-on bodywork, with the time and attention given to different areas guided by what I’m sensing. Gentler holds, stillness, intuitive sensing and energy-based awareness may also form part of the session.

Meet Laura
I’ve spent many years working with the body and exploring the relationship between structure, movement, stress, energy and the patterns that influence how we feel.My approach is curious, intuitive and grounded. Rather than focusing only on one area, I’m interested in how the body is working as a whole and what may help you feel more comfortable, settled and at ease.

Do not delay, discontinue or alter prescribed medical treatment because of information or impressions shared during a Flowing Heart session.
If you have concerns about your health or symptoms that require medical investigation, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.3. Health information and suitability for treatment
You are encouraged to provide accurate and relevant information about your health, medications, injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, current symptoms and other circumstances that may affect the suitability or safety of bodywork.
You should advise Laura of any significant change in your health before or during a session.
A session may be adapted, postponed or declined where bodywork appears unsuitable, contraindicated or outside the appropriate scope of the service.
Where appropriate, you may be encouraged to seek medical assessment or clearance before treatment.4. Consent, touch and personal boundaries

A parent or guardian may also be asked to remain present during treatment where appropriate.7. Intuitive sensing and energy-based awareness
Some sessions may include intuitive sensing, energetic awareness or attention to broader patterns that are difficult to describe solely in structural or mechanical terms.
These impressions are subjective.
They may be explored as part of the session but are not presented as objective fact, medical diagnosis, prediction or certainty.
Clients are encouraged to use their own judgement and discernment and to raise questions where something does not resonate or feel appropriate.8. Individual responses and no guarantee of outcomes
Every person and every session is different.
The Flowing Heart does not guarantee that a session will produce a particular physical, emotional, energetic or health outcome, or that pain, tension, injury or another concern will resolve within a particular period.

You remain responsible for communicating relevant health information, preferences, comfort and boundaries.
If something feels painful, uncomfortable or concerning during treatment, you are encouraged to say so immediately.

Where a session is provided away from the regular practice location, including a home visit, the session remains subject to the same professional boundaries, consent principles and scope of service described in this Disclaimer.
A reasonably safe, private and suitable environment must be available for the session.11. Emergencies
The Flowing Heart is not an emergency service.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency or a serious or rapidly worsening health concern, seek appropriate urgent medical assistance rather than relying on a bodywork appointment.12. Website and external information
